THE EVOLUTION OF MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS AND THE EXECUTIVE PRAXIS

Ever since the beginning of educational activities in Villa Bossi, the main theme we treat is about the relationship between the kind of instrument and the way of playing of past ages, and the current praxis. For this reason, we gifted ourselves with a collection of historical instruments, some original and some reconstructed, which are the foundation of our educational system, and with teachers that are specialized on this topic.

2022 PROGRAM

The program is developed over the 12 weekends between February and April 2022. The arrival is scheduled to be Friday night, and the departure Sunday night or Monday morning, unless otherwise indicated, according to eventual concerts or CDs and DVDs recordings in our Studio.

The study plan encloses the three topics shown below, and provides two or three lessons per student, at the teacher’s discretion. The Accademia makes available for teachers and students classrooms with harpsichords, fortepianos, organs, and romantic and modern pianos. Moreover, it can lend violins, violas, and cellos that can be both modern or baroque, together with the appropriate bows.
